Collection of stories
In 2025, the piazza nostra team conducted a total of 50 video interviews. A variety of individuals, perspectives and occupations come to the fore in these interviews, all of which have something in common: each, in their own way, has been part of the Locarno Film Festival over the past 60 years – whether visibly or invisibly.
These seven short videos were edited from over 100 hours of footage. The collection features a variety of voices: those of former employees, local residents or festival attendees.

Archiving
All the video interviews and their transcripts will be archived in full in the Cinémathèque suisse in Lausanne, thereby adding some new perspectives to the current holdings on the history of the festival.
